Here is a listing of names for the LightBody, as used over time by various religions, spiritual paths, and individuals. This listing is incomplete because every tradition has some kind of name for how the Mind of God works its way into who we are, and obviously every tradition is not listed here.

Here is a perspective that I value, and I am tucking it away in an obscure paragraph between a listing of names for the LightBody, and a bibliography of books that explain aspects of the human bioenergetic  field,  and this is just one perspective of who we are on Earth plane.

My perspective is that we are all channels. These days, as one travels about the spiritual circuit, one may come into contact with a number of channels and channelings, and we might tend to get wrapped up in some sense of awe about how so and so is a channel for so and so. Well, just remember that you are a channel for the same Mind of God.

If you were not, then what are you a channel for; the “not” Mind of God? We are all channeling our own Spirit/Soul entity, and we are also channeling the associated and allied entities which are friends and guardians and allies of our own Spirit/Soul. It’s just a perspective to keep in mind, and investigate inside of your own laboratory.

Next is a bibliography of some well known texts and authors on the subject of the significance of the human electromagnetic field, and healing of the human via energy medicine. All Western allopathic medical forms will become more and more “non-invasive,” or, more refined and subtle, as technology emerges into the discoveries, and the developments are made, which will allow healers to employ “science fiction to science fact” type energetic healing approaches, like the Star Trek gizmos that the Bones character used.

The reader is also referred to the publications and conferences sponsored by The International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM).

These books are listed roughly in the order in which I discovered them. They all have something unique and valuable to offer, and so I made some comments for each entry.

  • The Aura by Walter J. Kilner. This little classic was first published in 1911. My copy was republished in 1973, and this was the first book I purchased on the subject of the human energy field.
  •  Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. This is the book that woke me up about Christ and Christ Consciousness when I read it in 1977, the year I graduated from Tulane Medical School. This is a transformative book, filled with stories of miracles. This book served me as “The New Testament of the Bible, Finally Explained.” My favorite chapter is “The Resurrection of Sri Yukteswar,” wherein Yogananda’s guru reappears from life after life in his LightBody form, and explains some of the mysteries of the afterlife.
  • The Yoga Sutras of Patangali. Any of the translations will do.
  •  The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar. This tiny text is 77 pages long, and I also read it in 1977. It is a remarkable little treatise of Creation by the guru of Yogananda.
  •  I am going to list 3 classics by the same author, Arthur Avalon, the pen name of Sir John Woodroffe. The author was a British judge who was transformed spiritually while in India. He wrote 3 very esoteric texts on the chakra system and Shakti (Divine energy). Thes books were published in the 1920’s and 1950’s. In order of appearance, they are The Serpent Power, Shakti and Shakta, and The Garland of Letters.
  •  Joy’s Way by W. Brugh Joy, M.D. this is the first book that I know of written by an M.D. introducing the potentials for healing with body energies.
  •  Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss, Ph.D.  Written by a psychologist, this is now a classic text , and it may be the one of the all time best books on Western psychology and the chakra system. The chapters on the 7 major chakras are masterful.
  •  Vibrational Medicine by Richard Gerber, M.D. This book takes a deeper look into the subject of energy healing, also written by an M.D., a mere 600 page epic, and is filled with scientific references.
  •  Hands of Light by Barbara Brennen .  This text is another guide to healing in the human energy field, filled with very interesting and colorful illustrations. The author was a former research scientist for NASA.
  •  Core Energetics by John C. Pierrakos, M.D.  This text is often found in the libraries of students of energy healing and is one of the most informative and innovative. It is Reichian therapy, human energy field, modern physics, and the author’s own spiritual evolution combined convincingly and informatively into what can be seen of human chakras and energy fields. Barbara Brennan’s work and books evolved from the influence of Dr. Pierrakos, as she was a student of his.
  •  Wheels of Light by Rosalyn Bruyere. This is another classic that all energy healer students probably also have in their library. It is all about chakras, auras, and the healing energy of the body. There are some nice historical perspectives.
  •  Light Emerging by Barbara Brennen. Barbara extends into a second text, and successfully overachieves. The book is worth having simply to note the illustrations of the types of auric field interactions in human relationships.
  •  Eastern Body, Western Mind by Anodea Judith. This book is my personal favorite. My copy is actually coming apart, and I need a fresh text. This book is the best compilation on Western psychology and the chakra system. I would state that this is the one book to own, if you just wanted to start with one.
  •  The Reconnection by Eric Pearl. Dr. Pearl describes his autobiographical account of how a new type of healing frequency known as Reconnective energies came to him, and the miraculous healings which began to occur in his chiropractic work. He went on to receive channeled messaging about the nature and significance of these frequencies, and he now teaches the technique all over the world. I learned from Eric in Birmingham, Alabama, Levels I and II, and Level III in Marina del Rey, California in 2001. This technique is extremely simple to use, and is effective in healing trauma and any life burden. I have used it successfully to really help people shift into their own healing journey, no matter what they suffer from. Eric’s book is a good book on the general subject of healing.
  •  Wheels of Life by Anodea Judith. She calls this text “a user’s guide to the chakra system.”
  •  Your Aura and Your Chakras, The Owner’s Manual by Karla McLaren. This is yet another look at the energy field from an author who really understands how to heal from human trauma and what emotions are all about, as I have learned from her other books.
  •  The Book of Chakras by Ambika Wauters. This is a nice simplistic text with fantastic illustrations and handy charts. This is a very nice beginner’s guide to the chakra subject.
  •  Chakras, Energy Centers of Transformation by Harish Johari. This text is written by an Indian student of the subject. It has nice illustrations and goes into Indian esoterica a bit.
  •  The Healer’s Manual, A Beginner’s Guide to Energy Therapies, by Ted Andrews. This is a very nice text. I still pull it out to get straight about which meridian is doing what, and where it is located on the physical body.
  •  Ancient Teachings for Beginners by Douglas De Long. Auras, chakras, angels, rebirth, astral projection, and how to develop the psychic abilities, which we all have.
  •  Energy Medicine by Donna Eden. This is another one of the “if there is only one book you would recommend” category.
  •  What is LightBody? By Archangel Ariel, channeled by Tashira Tachi-ren. This is a short little text on the ongoing Ascension process that is happening on Earth plane right now, where the human race may be evolving towards, as the old order of chaos dies out. You can get an idea of this Ascension evolution at www.fourwinds10.com by looking at the Phoenix Papers archives.

The bibliography above can be supplemented with any number of texts from any of the yogic traditions. There are somewhere around 30 different forms of yoga. The one yoga which encompasses all of them is Siddha Yoga, and this was taught by Swami Muktananda, and his successor Swami Chidvilasanada, with whom I studied in the 1980’s and 1990’s. She is still in South Fallsburg, New York, at the ashram there. Gurumayi, as she is affectionately known, is an exceedingly beautiful being.

My next Journal entry will deal with this question from www.goop.com about the “evil tongue” quandary. I began to write about this subject in the recent “Mother’s Day Message, an Attack of Common Sense.”

I refer the reader back to that Journal entry wherein the driving influences of held traumatic imprints during the time of development of Chakras 2 and 3 are informing Chakra 5 about this style of judgmental expression. If you are self aware, and you practice mindfulness and witness consciousness, you will find that all of your thoughts carry your judgment and labeling of things in your world. We just do this as a result of old held belief systems, many of which no longer serve us well.

Signing off from Crestone and Beyond.

Love
