In my practice Designs for Health has proven to be the best of the nutritional supplement lines. Throughout the years of my experiential and research based evaluation of such companies, I have seen the most consistent and positive results from this nutritional supplement line.
The link to this product store is…Designs for Health
You can use this link to purchase supplements directly from the online store or you can contact DFH directly by telephone, 1-800-847-8302, in which case you will be connected to a sales representative quickly. The cost of the supplements is the same with either method of purchase.
These supplements are not sold in health food oriented stores, and are only offered through health practitioners. It is a direct sales venue, and is not a multi-level marketing type of sales venue.
Since its origin in 1989, Designs for Health has been a trusted source for reliable research-backed nutritional products of the highest quality. DFH products are favored and recommended by most holistically oriented health care professionals. By providing additional support through clinical education, DFH has maximized the potential for successful patient health outcomes.
This supplement line is optimally offered through health care providers who are educated and experienced in nutritional biochemistry and can provide guidance through the treatment regimens, which must be considered along with the patient’s disease conditions, pharmaceutical concerns, and nutrigenomic considerations.
I have utilized the DFH line exclusively since 2004, and I find it to be seamlessly effective for those who are using polypharmacy, or not. I recommend the DFH products for both successful polypharmacy enhancement and/or weaning programs for those who seek such assistance. I also recommend these nutrients for nutrigenomic programs when clients have undergone their individual gene carrier status analysis.
This nutritional product line is very effective in my practice in all areas of therapy: nutrigenomics, anti-aging, weight loss, more energy in the body, exercise enhancement, neurotransmitter balancing, and improvement of any health concern or disease condition. I also recommend the products from DFH to simply optimize and maintain many clients’ otherwise normal health.
If you decide to order from the store link shown above, please call me for a consultation about your needs and concerns, especially if you have medical or surgical diagnoses, if you are using pharmaceuticals, if you are in a peri-operative surgical state, or if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
Here is a 2016 note from the DFH management on quality control…
“…we continue to invest extensively to find and validate the best available raw ingredients, as the concerns about raw ingredient adulteration and dilution do have some credibility and need to be regularly monitored and addressed…We validate botanical raw ingredients at the genus and species level – every delivery, every time – before using the materials in our products.”
Additional Extended Editorial and Disclosure Commentary
I want to pose a few editorial comments and opinion about some health industry problems, and common misconceptions.
The FDA has not evaluated any of the statements on this website. This is good. I don’t think that the FDA would know how to evaluate any of the statements on this website in a way that would serve your life, and the lives of everyone else in our society, for the better.
Most regulatory agencies have a long history of protecting corporate industry interests instead of protecting public and environmental health. The agricultural and pharmaceutical industries spend millions of dollars to lobby for regulations that are favorable to them. There is an ongoing revolving door of officialdom operatives who shuttle back and forth, in the managerial positions, between the major regulatory agencies and the private corporations.
This dynamic is the modus operandi of all of the highly destructive companies, like Monsanto, who profit from the toxic products which they push into the environment and onto humanity. These companies own the regulatory agencies in the greatest conflict of interest scam on the planet. The results have been devastating for the health of all beings on the planet, and for the planet itself. This piece of writing exposes one dimension of Monsanto’s conspiratorial efforts.
The FDA, which is a collusion between the food industry (e.g., the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association, or, GMA) and the pharmaceutical industry is inept and corrupt. The FDA could actually do much to assist the real health of our society, but it does not.
The FDA science limb does not analyze and promote its dictums in terms of natural healthy biochemistry. There may be scientists and biologists in the FDA who know how to use their gifts properly to serve society, but they do not seem to be expressing their voice. Like other burgeoning governmental agencies which create interference with decent social progress, the FDA needs to evolve into an instrument of true social progress, or maybe decentralize its operations, or maybe just go away.
However, the FDA might be thought of as almost like a kind of money laundering process, and so it probably won’t go away. The food industry, agribusinesses (think Monsanto, et al.) and pharmaceutical conglomerates own the FDA with money, and they also own the politicians in the Washington, D.C. with money.
In referencing just the pharmaceutical industry influence on our politicians alone (not to mention the FDA), in a writing for the New York Times, columnist Nicholas Kristof notes that in the year 2015, “the pharmaceutical industry…has used its lobbying heft — it spent $272,000 in campaign donations per member of Congress last year, and it has more lobbyists than there are members of Congress — to bar the government from bargaining for drug prices in Medicare. That amounts to a $50 billion annual gift to pharmaceutical companies.” Here is this article link.
Furthermore, medical research is a $50 billion per year business operation. This business is almost completely funded by pharmaceutical companies.
My Disclosure Explained
I make a small commission from the sale of Designs for Health supplements.
As far as my seasoned knowledge of biochemistry, physiology, and patho-physiology goes, DFH is the best supplement company available to assist my recommendations for clients. The formulations in this nutritional supplement line are correct, effective, and fit the needs of the clients I consult with. DFH is preferred by most holistic biochemical thinking health care providers. It is not the only very good supplement company in existence, but it has proven to be the best one for my practice and my clients’ needs.
When I was a general, vascular, and trauma surgeon I made rather generous commissions on thousands of surgeries which I recommended to patients. Many of these operations were very high-risk. All physicians who recommend studies and interventions to their patients are usually paid for these recommendations, or for the subsequent interpretations of studies, or for the risky interventions which they recommend to their patients.
If I performed a replacement of an abdominal aorta, a carotid artery reconstruction, a limb saving surgery, a life saving surgery for bowel conditions, thyroid conditions, breast conditions, gall bladder and liver conditions, cancer conditions, and a host of trauma conditions of all sorts, then I made a generous commission for such works, all of which works I recommended with good intentions.
Just remember, all physicians and other types of health care practitioners make “commissions” on their recommendations. Is this really any different with any other profession?
Health care practitioners who recommend nutritional supplements to their patients are sometimes criticized and rebuked for “conflict of interests.” I invite the reader to consider how this so-called conflict dynamic is also operative in all of the other time-honored professions.
It is up to you to understand what your physician is recommending and what your level of trust and comfort with that recommendation may be. And it is up to you to understand your physician’s maturity and integrity level, as well as your physician’s experiential wisdom and track record.
It is up to the physician to be educated and intellectually current in their field, as well as be adept in his and her declared scope of practice. It is ideal if your physician is also honest, clear, transparent, and follows Hippocratic principles, such as “first do no harm.”
Here is a nice essay on Hippocratic principles and ethics which, like nutrition, should be more widely taught in medical schools.
The best physician is inside of the patient. It is up to the exterior physician to evoke, educate, and assist the internal physician which lives within their patients. Most of today’s physicians seem to be completely clueless as to how to even consider this concept, let alone begin practicing it within their own lives, and recommending and supporting it within the lives of their patients. This is a fault of today’s medical education, as well as a physician corps which lacks imagination, vision, and the courage required to break out of a faulty and ineffective paradigm of health care.
Fortunately, this problem is slowly changing as more and more physicians are becoming fed up with the very difficult constraints and compression in their practices. Many physicians are beginning to realize that much of what they have been practicing does not help their patients in the long run, especially those with unmitigated chronic health conditions…and is actually harming their patients’ lives.
More curiosity, intellect, and effort are required by physicians and patients to be able to get to the root cause of disease, and change negative lifestyle practices by embracing the full scope of body-mind-emotions-spirit healing and growth potential.
The pharmaceutical industry has created some life saving drugs which have virtually eradicated many former dreaded diseases. The pharmaceutical industry has also created a number of life saving drugs which are very effective in emergent life saving interventions. However, this industry is a for-profit industry which does not necessarily operate by any high standard human code of ethics.
The pharmaceutical industry has created many drugs which are of dubious benefit, and which create toxicities and fatalities. Furthermore, 75% of all medical journal studies are funded by pharmaceutical companies. The conflicts of interest here should be obvious to everyone, but these conflicts of interests are routinely dismissed.
Toxicities from the use of nutritional supplements are quite rare. On the other hand, fatalities from the use of pharmaceuticals are quite common.
In my time as a physician apprentice under parent physicians, and during my 40 years of being a physician, I have observed how the industry has created a number of drugs for chronic diseases which have fostered a deviation from, and an impediment to, many good holistic pursuits of knowledge, healing, and health.
These days a rising number of patients over age 50 are being placed on more and more pharmaceuticals to treat chronic disease conditions; a trend known as polypharmacy. This is a very negative and unhealthy trend. However, it can be made better by holistic lifestyle education and interventions.
More and more physicians are schooling themselves in holistic and functional medicine knowledge and practice. This is a good trend, and I hope that you will support it.
The purpose of this editorial is not to have you buy all of the linked supplements in my Journal writings so that I can make a commission on the sales. The purpose of this writing is to assist your broader education about health accountability concepts as you grow your life. The nutritional supplements recommended are the best that I have been able to find.
